Created in the historic West Bank city of Hebron, a sacred site for Christians, Muslims and Jews, this tea light candleholder comes with small amount of sand. Recycled bottles (like green Coca Cola bottles) are smashed into pieces and melted in high temperature ovens by artisans of Hebron Glass & Ceramic Factory. This craft was nearly forgotten until the Natsheh family, of Hebron glass, revived the art in the late 1800's.
Working with this process takes an especially skilled hand, and is reserved for the true masters of the art. Each piece has its own unique blend of color and pattern. Historically Phoenician glass was reserved for wedding gifts.
