Artisans for Hope is a place in Boise, Idaho where refugees come together to connect, learn, create, and earn. Back in 2009, a group of local women passionate about textiles noticed the need to unite the refugee community in a meaningful way. They discovered that through sewing, knitting, and crocheting, they could build bridges across different cultures. What began as a simple knitting circle for refugees to practice English evolved into the non-profit organization, Artisans For Hope.

The artisans, many of whom are women and former refugees, attend classes to enhance their sewing and knitting skills, all while earning money from selling their handmade crafts. The classes not only teach the artisans valuable skills but also provide a supportive and inclusive community. All materials and sewing machines are donated, and the artisans offer custom work and alterations. Each unique item is crafted with care and comes with a tag bearing the artisan's name.
